You can choose between two options:
Family Tree Research Package (Non-DNA)
Perfect for those starting from scratch or wanting to explore a specific branch of their family. I’ll build out your tree using historical records, helping you discover names, dates, and stories from your family’s past.
DNA Research Package
Ideal for those who have already taken a DNA test and want help interpreting the results. This option can enhance traditional research by analyzing your DNA matches or focus on solving a specific mystery—such as confirming a grandparent’s identity or identifying a surprise match.
Every Package Includes:
Up to 4 hours of professional research
Family tree building and identification of potential ancestors
A timeline or short written report summarizing discoveries
Optional Zoom or phone call to review findings together
Supportive, judgment-free guidance throughout the process
Note: Prize winners may choose to add additional research services beyond the prize package at their own expense.

Contest Rules & Disclaimer
By entering the Rooted Genealogy Giveaway (“Contest”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. The contest is open to legal residents of Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. It is void where prohibited by law. Each participant may submit only one entry; duplicate entries will be disqualified.
To enter, participants must follow Rooted Genealogy on Facebook and subscribe to the Rooted Genealogy email newsletter using the signup form provided on this page. Both steps must be completed during the contest period, which runs from August 5 to August 15, 2025, ending at 11:59 PM Mountain Time.
Three winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries. The first prize is a custom DNA or Family Tree Research Package valued at $299 CAD. The second prize is a $100 gift certificate for any Rooted Genealogy service, and the third prize is a $50 gift certificate. Gift certificates are valid for six months from the date of issue and may be transferred to another person with prior written approval from Rooted Genealogy.
Winners will be contacted via email on August 17, 2025, and must respond by August 22, 2025, to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond by the deadline, their prize will be forfeited and a new winner may be selected. A public announcement of the winners will be made on Rooted Genealogy’s Facebook page and via email on August 22, 2025.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. By entering the contest, participants consent to the collection and use of their name and email address for contest communication and the Rooted Genealogy newsletter. Personal information will not be shared or sold, and participants may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
